Psychological Schooling of Youth, Child Health & Education (PSYCHE)
Dr. Shah Nawaz, a distinguished psychiatrist from Pakistan who has achieved significant milestones in his career at a young age. He possesses an MBBS degree and is a Fellow of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan in Psychiatry. Previously, he served as a Consultant Psychiatrist at BIPBS in Quetta, and currently holds positions as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at District Hospital Khuzdar and as an Assistant Professor of Behavioral Sciences at Jhalawan Medical College Khuzdar.
In his efforts to promote psychological well-being among children and youth, Dr. Nawaz is the Director of PSYCHE, a specialized school in this field. With more than seven years of experience in psychiatry, he is a respected authority and a certified EMDR/Psychotrauma therapist from EMDR Pakistan. Furthermore, he has completed a one-year diploma in CBT from a reputable CBT institute in Pakistan (PACT) and has earned over 44 e-certificates relating to psychiatry, psychology, sociology, and human rights.
Dr. Nawaz’s expertise extends beyond clinical practice as he is a master trainer of GBV, Mental Health, and Psychosocial Support. He has also made significant contributions to the teaching and mentorship of psychology and pharmacology internship students. Dr. Nawaz is passionate about providing the highest level of care to his patients and committed to advancing the field of psychiatry through research, education, and training.
Mr Amin Ullah has the honour of GOLD MEDALIST in MA (Psychology). He is currently working as Psychologist (Head of Psychology Department) at Baluchistan Institute of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences Quetta. He Has been serving since November 2018. His recent responsibility is to apply psychological testing for assessment and psychological intervention strategies to mentally ill patients. He is the supervisor and mentor of post graduate internship program in the institute . He has the experience of teaching as well, he was lecturer in Psychology at Education Department Government of Baluchistan from June 2014 to November 2018. He has served in WHO regarding Gender Based Violence more than one year. Recently he is Master Trainer about Gender Based Violence. He has been a member of interview committee for recruitment of faculty, staff and admissions of students.He has built his capacity in substance prevention and intervention, trained by UNODC and Supreme Consultancy Malaysia. He is trained Social Counsellor by UNDP.
Mr Shoukat shah is one of the prominent sociologists in Balochistan. He graduated from the University of Punjab in Social Work. He is having experience working for six months in the Model drug abuse Centre, a services hospital Lahore on rehabilitation of drug-addicted people , he understand the social dynamics and stressors leading to drug abuse . A wide experience on rehabillitation and managemnet of substance and drug abuse . Mr shoukat shah has served for six minths as community developer in Social welfare project of Lahore in Darampor. He is Able to apply sociological theory and concepts to social issues , Knowledgeable about group and organizational dynamics, Sensitive to diversity of race, class, gender and other ascribed statuses.
He has also earned his M.Phil degree in Social Work from one of the biggest universities in balochistan The University of Balochistan Quetta . He conducted one of his researchs on (impacts of drought on farming families of District Nushki) which was published in Balochistan Riview. He is currently working as a sociologist in PSYCHYE( psychological schooling of youth , child health and education) organistaion. He addreses the social issues of people which lead to psychological and psychiatric distresses.
